Answer:
You can specify a configuration directory by calling SlickEdit® with a -sc option. Example:

WINDOWS: vs.exe -sc "c:\path\to\config\"
LINUX/UNIX: vs -sc /path/to/config/
Type the following command on the SlickEdit command line for more help on the options SlickEdit uses:

"help invocation options"

To bring up the SlickEdit command line, hit ESC in most emulations, or click on the SlickEdit message line.
