SlickEdit Receives LinuxWorld Product Excellence Award
Morrisville, NC – August 18, 2005 – SlickEdit Inc., provider
of essential software development tools, announced today that they have been presented
with the LinuxWorld Product Excellence Award at the 2005 Conference and Expo
in San Francisco
Tuesday, August 9, 2005.
SlickEdit
v10 was awarded in the category
of Best Application Development Tool. Available on Linux since 1996, SlickEdit has
supported some of the world's most skilled power programmers, whether used as a
stand alone development environment or as a complementary editor.
Ultimately, SlickEdit enables programmers to write code
faster and more accurately. The refactorings added to v10 bring the total to
eighteen, allowing programmers to save countless hours when performing
refactoring operations. The user interface has been updated with new icons, and
the ability to arrange windows and toolbars. Support for the Subversion source
control system, plus Java and Debugger enhancements round out the offering.
