How do I uninstall SlickEdit Tools? Print E-mail

Question:
How do I uninstall SlickEdit Tools?

Answer:
To uninstall SlickEdit Tools:

1. From the Windows Control Panel, open Add or Remove Programs.
2. Click Change or Remove Programs.
3. Select the SlickEdit Tools installation that you want to remove.
4. Click Change/Remove or Remove. This will delete the installation directory as well as any registry settings. You may be prompted to reboot for the removal to take effect.

Alternatively, double-click on the original .msi installation file and select Remove.

If an entry for SlickEdit Tools does not appear in the Add/Remove Programs list, you can uninstall it by completing the following steps:

1. Open a Command Prompt window.
2. Run the following, where [installer path] is the full path and file name of the original SlickEdit Tools installation file:

msiexec /x "[installer path]"
For example, to remove SlickEdit Tools v1.1.2 if the installer is in "c:\", run:
msiexec /x "c:\st_010102_win_trial.msi"
3. You will get a generic Windows Installer message asking if you want to uninstall the program. Click OK.
