Why is SlickEdit® inserting characters on every line of a block selection? Print E-mail
Question:
Why is SlickEdit inserting characters on every line of a block selection?

Answer:
This is the intended behavior of the editor as of version 8.0.1.

If you would like to get the old behavior back, go to the (Macro > Set Macro Variable) dialog, find the macro variable "def_do_block_mode_key" and set its value equal to '0'. This will give you the behavior you are used to.

Note - Visual SlickEdit® 8.0.1 users will need to first load this updated macro for this variable to become available.

To load this, put this file in your 'vslickmacros' directory and load it using the (Macro > Load Module) dialog.
