Why do I get a "libvseclipse.so: libXm.so.2" error? |
|
|
Question:
When I try to run Eclipse™ after installing the SlickEdit® 8.0 Plug-In, I get an error similar to the following:
libvseclipse.so: libXm.so.2: cannot open shared object file.
Answer:
If the eclipse-vs script was used to run Eclipse, and library errors occur, then the errors are typically a result of trying to run the SlickEdit Plug-In in the GTK version of Eclipse. The SlickEdit 8.0 Plug-In requires the Motif version of Eclipse. Install the Motif version of Eclipse and reinstall the Plug-In to solve the problem.
