In the case where you need to use SlickEdit, but will not be connected to the local domain where the SlickEdit licenses are being served, you can borrow a license to take “on the road”.  This process is simple and the functionality is now included on the SlickEdit Menu. 

Go to Help > Licensing > Borrow License and enter in the date which you wish to return the license to make it available in the license pool.  The default MAXIMUM borrow duration is 30 days.

It is possible to return a borrowed license before its expiration.  To return a borrowed license early go to Help > Licensing > Return License.  The server information should be automatically entered for you.
